**PROBLEM**

The Windows Service 2.1 will occasionally not release locks established by the workstation to the Server. 

This occurs when you have a TCP/IP connection from the client to the server. The service was not propertly detecting when a

workstation abnormally disconnects itself from the network and would never drop that connection. This caused any locks held by

that workstation to never get cleared. 



 

**SYMPTOM**

****

 

You will receive a "Record is Locked" message even if the record is not in use and no users are logged into the application.



 



 

**SOLUTION**

****

 

Revelation has created a patch that willcorrect this problem. To receive the patch please contact either you local Revelation Software 

representative or email __info@revelation.com__ with the following information:



 

Name 

Company Name

Address

2000 Service 2.1 Serial Number



 

The patch will be provided via email.
