You should really make sure all references to indexes are removed from your system. First, make sure the REVMEDIA entry that points to the deleted index table is removed. Second, make sure the REVMEDIA entry for the data file no longer has SI.MFS in the second field position. Last, do a manual removal of all index flags within the individual dictionary records and delete the %FIELDS% and %PROTECT.SPEC% records. If there are relational indexes there are more steps beyond these. At this point the system should think all you have is a regular non-indexed data file and you can continue from there.
