Also make sure you are not running a mix of Win 98 or older work stations with newer NT, 2000, or XP work stations.  The records won't lock between them.



Make sure all of your hardware including connections, switches, hubs, etc. are in good error free condition to prevent GFE's.

It has been several years, and my memory is not perfect, but if I remember correctly, after we discovered the problem between Win 98 and Citrix, we brought up a Win 2000 workstation, and tested locking between it, and both Citrix, and Win 98.  Record locking occured with Citrix, but not with Win 98, which is what prompted us to convert all of the Win 98 stations to Win 2000.
