The LAN Manager byte-range locking problem referred to in Technical Bulletin
#26 has resulted in the development of a LAN Manager 1.0 network driver for
DOS Advanced Revelation. The lock scheme used by the LAN Manager 1.0 network
driver was subsequently incorporated into all the byte-range type network
drivers released in the Advanced Revelation 1.16 Maintenance Update.

However, this new byte-range lock scheme is not compatible with the current
version of OS/2 Advanced Revelation. Because of this incompatibility, users
wanting to share data between DOS and OS/2 versions of Advanced Revelation
must be certain that they are using compatible network drivers.

The table in Figure 1 indicates the compatibility between the various
versions of LAN Manager, DOS Advanced Revelation and OS/2 Advanced
Revelation, and DOS Advanced Revelation network driver(s).
