I.    Reviewing you existing Arev application

 

1. Below is a screen image of the Arev application PETROTECH that we are going to convert.

2. From TCL we will list the VOLUME names attached to this application by hitting the F5 key to get to TCL and type: LISTVOLUMES.

3. From TCL we will list the files attached to this application and note the application name (PETROTECH).  Hit the F5 key to get to TCL and type LISTFILES.

4. From TCL we will list the files that contain RBASIC programs.  Hit the F5 key to get to TCL and type:

    LIST VOC WITH F1 = “RBASIC” BY F3 BREAK-ON F3 “’V’” DET-SUPP

II.   Creating your application in OpenInsight

 

1. From the File menu of the OpenInsight IDE we will create a New Application.

2. We will name the new OpenInsight application PETROTECH and create a user called PETROTECH with password: PETROTECH123!.

3. Your PETROTECH application has been created and you are now logged in to that application.
