Occurs when a window or control on a window gets focus. Activating an MDI child also activates the frame

//bforward// = **ACTIVATED**(//ctrlentID//, //ctrlclassID//)
 
==== Parameters ====
 
ACTIVATED accepts arguments for the following parameters.

^Parameter^Description^
|//ctrlentID//|Has the format //WindowName.ControlName//, where //WindowName// is the identifier of the window that contains the affected control, and //ControlName// is the identifier of the control. Notice that a period separates the two values.|
|//ctrlclassID//|The type of control that recognizes the event. The window control type is the only valid entry.||

True or false. If false, the program execution returns to the calling procedure. If true, the event processing goes to the next level.

Instead of using the [[gotfocus_event|GOTFOCUS]] and [[lostfocus_event|LOSTFOCUS]] for a window, use [[activated_event|ACTIVATED]] and [[inactivated_event|INACTIVATED]]. [[gotfocus_event|GOTFOCUS]] and [[lostfocus_event|LOSTFOCUS]] usually only happen once for a window, immediately after creation.
