We have installed Win 2000 server with Metaframe 1.8 We launch Arev from a batch file. Batch files do not contain tabs for memory. So we modified the _default.pif to use expanded memory and set extended to none. We then modified the config.nt file and added emm=ram. Every time we launch arev we get an error message reading line x referring to the emm=ram statement. We put in below the himem.sys statement. Arev will launch and printing works fine, but queries on inventory crash the session.
Appreciate anyone's help
Dale

Is this the literal and correct way to add extended memory support. I'm not familiar with Win2000 but typically you would enter a line like device=emm386.exe

To enable Expanded Memory within a DOS session in Windows 2000, create a new shortcut on the servers desktop to command.com.
Right click the new shortcut, change the memory requirements to expanded 4096, extended=none, and then change the shortcut to point to your batch file to run arev.
