I used the change-password command to add a password
and now wish to remove the password. I do know the
password, but I wish to remove it and the prompt.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance...

Carmen,
Set the password to null (go to where you change the password, bring up the application/user and delete it with ^d, save (f9) and the password has been changed).

John, that method doesn't work. It then sets the pass
-word to Control-D!

If you log in as 'sysprog', you should be able to get to the secure user window, and delete the password entry there - save it.
Your password may be associated with the application and not the user - in which case you would go to the secure application window, and remove the password from there. This is necessary to remove the password from the sysprog account for example - there isn't actually a sysprog 'user' record to modify.
Hope that helps,
Jeff

Carmen,
Just go to change password and press ENTER when prompted for the new password. This will delete the existing password.
