==== GFE on Win 2003 Server (AREV Specific) ====

I've been reading through various threads to see if I can find reasons for the following failure.
Win 2003 Server
3 x Win 98 Workstations
Arev 3.12
NPP
Various Caching off
Always suspend off
2 workstations only use Arev, the 3rd has a camera on it and they exit Arev to run the camera software.
No Indexer
We are getting a GFE (Quite often Link List) about every 2 weeks. Usually the index of one of 2 popular tables. Only 100,000 records or so in either table.
We can get on and hit the table with a sledge hammer to fix the GFE but this is now getting annoying.
Is there a check list of things to go through floating around? Being so intermittent it makes it hard to confirm whether any changes have been effective as it may take another 2 weeks before the next GFE.
TIA
Claude

I notice you don't have a server-based network product, just the NPP.
I have had no troubles on two W2003 server locations, using Windows 2000 1.5 network product.

After various discussions here and directly with various Arev afficiandos I was lead to believe that the NPP is adequate when only 3 workstations are running.
These clients are not puting any great strains on the system - realistically we could have a got away with no Server, but I wanted some stability.
It would be nice if I didn't have to go down the more expensive network product route.
