I'm trying to "remove" a table from a database,
OI 3.41. I get the message "SYS1303: Table list in the
volume record does not synch with the Systables record".
I have gone back and run Development-Rebuild System Index
and Development-Sync Database but these haven't helped.
Any ideas.... Steve Carlson.

The .DBT files are standard revelation "records"... The best way to edit them is in AREV, just type "EDIT DOS \.DBT" at TCL. If you don't have AREV, your best bet is to use the COPY_OS_TO_ROW routine to bring the .DBT file into a table accessible in OI, edit it (albeit a bit painfully) using the System Editor, then use COPY_ROW_TO_OS to rewrite it back to DOS.
Needless to reiterate, you should make good backups of any .DBT file you might choose to modify.

If you have problems with Cam's SynchDB utility then you can always copy the SYSPROG.DBT file over your DBT file, and just re-attach all the tables fresh.
