The best way to edit them is in AREV, just type "EDIT DOS \.DBT" at TCL. If you don't have AREV, your best bet is to use the COPY_OS_TO_ROW routine to bring the .DBT file into a table accessible in OI, edit it (albeit a bit painfully) using the System Editor, then use COPY_ROW_TO_OS to rewrite it back to DOS. Needless to reiterate, you should make good backups of any .DBT file you might choose to modify.
