We plan to purchase a windows 2000 server and workstation with WIN XP.
Our application developed using arev 3.12, it work fine with WIN 98 SE and win ME.
Since WIN XP still new to me. I would like to know will the application run well with win XP before we invest on it.
Can someone tell me about the STABILITY And SPEED of arev 3.12 application running with win xp and win 2000 as server.

Right, I'm doing this now, see my other posts. 2 issues, running in full screen mode with XP or 2000 workstation (we have novell server). Make sure you test. We found we needed 128ddr cards to support full screen mode. You may not, but test.
Also, we can't get XP or 2000 stations to record lock right now and the result is link list errors. Make sure you address that issue also.

I run Arev 3.12 on a single user machine. No problems. I could complain that the XP window is too small and no resizable - which requires most use to be full screen.
Windows ME that came with the machine crashed about 6 times a day. With XP, I reboot about every 6 days or so - just because.

Arev 3.12 appears to run fine on XP. Only issue I had was disabling visual themes (check box in compatability). Assigned memory fine, mouse works fine. Need to modify properies of window to get pleasant sizing - all this cosmetic.
The major issue will be driver - if you are win2000 server then the IP driver should be just fine (not that I have tried it).

I'm running AREV 3.12 on XP and unfortunately I am having a problem with the way AREV interfaces with XP. I use a lot of DOS files to process data and I use the 'DIRLIST' command from AREV in several of my programs and also the DOS 'MOVE' command to arrange my processed files. AREV executes the commands, but DOS ignores them or gives me a null response. The same code works on all previous operating systems. Other than that (which has the potential of being a major problem), I wouldn't go back to any other OS's.
