The only true recomendations on how to get more memory for ARev is to try and avoid using older drivers under 95 (those needing loading in the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files). The less resources being used before 95 fully loads, the more available for other command.com apps after it is loaded. ---- === At 06 DEC 1997 05:43AM Victor E. While Win95 supports a lot of devices, you may still need to load those that aren't supported (e.g. some CD ROM drivers). If you are loading drivers, and need to, make sure HIMEM.SYS and EMM386.EXE are the first things loaded in CONFIG. Although Win95 will automatically install these, it does so AFTER processing the CONFIG file. So any devices designated to load HIGH aren't. Also, make sure everything is loaded with the DEVICEHIGH and LOADHIGH (LH). Also BUFFERSHIGH, FILESHIGH, and LASTDRIVEHIGH. MEMMAKER was a useful tool in finding nooks and crannies in upper memory to stash drivers. Its not available with Win95 unless you kept your old DOS. MS Download has the old DOS HELP command if you need it. It would show how to load in the different regions reported by MEM. I usually can clear at least 610K in lower memory but a little more may be possible. The more the merrier.
