Note that I do not need the total available space on the volume, but only the available space to the user or to the group to which he belongs. This has been a problem because I've been using FILER, which only reports space on the volume, and the group has a tighter restriction. The result is that when we run out of space, it is a surprise. ---- === At 04 FEB 2001 07:54PM The Sprezzatura Group wrote: === Victor, The account space available to a user is held at user level and is independent of the server volume in which the disk space is occupied. The Novell API (especially for Netware 4 & 5) has advanced to the stage that calls to the account level subfunctions are no longer supported by assembly language, but by calls to C code that require over 64 kB in object size, or by 32-bit calls from an object that AREV interfaces only via 8-bit code. Novell abandoned their assembler API some years ago. On this basis an add-in to AREV is not readily achieved inside a 64 kB object. If you require any source code to explore this possibility yourself, then please email info@sprezzatura.com and any AREV / Novell utility assembler source code or API call doco for existing Novell/AREV utils you may require will be emailed to you in order to assist you with exploring the problem further. Frankly, unless you are running Novell Bindery level support under Novell 3.x or 4.x this is a daunting task even for hardened afficionados of hexa decimal. Under Novell 5.x the task is considered nearly impossible. Actually, I don't need anything callable from Arev. I just need a utility that the user can call from Windows or a command prompt (preferable). I would have thought Netware would provide such a utility, but I can't find it if it's there. ---- === At 05 FEB 2001 03:35PM The Sprezzatura Group wrote: === What version of Novell?
