and you get the problem.

try this symbolic:

@ANS=XLATE("CUSTOMERS", {CUSTKEY}, "NAME", "X")



@MV is the current row number of the group.  The new formula extracts only that row number.



(yes, I know this isn't very efficient, but it works easily)
