OI32 (4.1.3) Novell 3.x (all Y2K patches) NLM 1.5 Win2K workstation Novell Client 4.83 sp2
We're migrating from ARev 3.12 to OI 4.1.3. I installed OI on the server, patched it up to 4.1.3., installed the developer lanpak I used Sprezzaturs's S/Param to set param files (all defaults). I bound the Netware NLM Multi-User version 1.5c driver.
I get FS474 Next Packet errors when accessing files. I wanted to look at NLM_STATS but it is not to be found in the repository.
1) How do I install NLM_STATS?
2) How do I get rid of the FS474 errors.
TIA

To the best of my knowledge, NLM_STATS is not in OI. Just AREV.

"To access the statistics in OpenInsight, press and hold the SHIFT key while double-clicking the mouse on the NLM_STATS entity in your application repository under OpenInsight Form Executables (OpenInsight application category, OpenInsight Executables family)."

I think I have to update something. I don't have it here on our primary development machine .. But, I stand corrected based on your post.
Thanks ..

I guess I need to follow the OI client install instructions although I went through this months ago and was told it wasn't needed for OI32.

Warren,
The NLM_STATS will be installed into the OI Repository as part of the NLM client install (which I think you said you didnt do). You also need to create the Revparam file in each LH folder, with the first line being:
ServerOnly=True
Suggest that you confirm on the server that the NLM is running.

ARev 3.12 has been running stable on the NLM for years. OI migration files are on the same server. REVPARAM files created using Sprezzatura's S/PARAM utility. I said in my initial post all defaults used. This may be incorrect as I made sure the SERVERONLY=TRUE was set. I don't recall what the S/PARAM default is for this setting.
What causes the FS474 errors and how do you get rid of them?

Ok, I'm about to call tech support about the FS474 error since no one seems to have any input here.
I dug out the NLM 1.5 Workstation floppy and tried to run the install on OI 4.x upgraded to v7.0 but it tells me REVDDE.DLL cannot be found and aborts.
I wanted to install the NLM_STATS form executables for OI so I could perhaps see what is going on to cause the FS474 errors but no dice.

Well after talking to Kevin it appears that the NLM 1.5 is limited to 64K and is not capable of handling records larger than this which is causing the FS 474 problem.

Really sorry Warren, for some reason we assumed you would have seen this thread and dismissed it as irrelevant. Hence we assumed it must be something else this time. Apologies.
