I running arev 3.12 and have multiple PC's running dos. To print we are using capture statements in the Netware login script. This all works fine but when we use a Windows95 workstation unless I use a PDISK command I cannot use any automatic printing. HELP.

Couple of suggestions:
1. Start AREV from an MS-DOS batch file that:
CAPTURE /ENDCAP
CAPTURE L1 Q= NB NT TI=
: go to the AREV directory
AREV /M4096X
CAPTURE /ENDCAP
CAPTURE..restore your original capture statements
2. Make sure Windoz95 defaults to the printer specified in the logon script from Netware.

We are running under Novell and Arev 3.12 with most of the work stations running Win95. What we've found to do is within Win95 under the properties of each printer we have listed is put an LPT1 at the head of the printer name. We have found this to be needed so that we can print from DOS accplications (AREV) thru Win95. I believe we went to this because of one of the documents within the Knowledge Base on this Web page. You might want to check that out.
Here is how you get to where we have out LPT1 added. Get to the Properties of the printer. Go to the Details tab. You'll see a prompt entitled "Print to the following port". I forget how we go about doing this but we end up with it looking like "LPT1: (\\printer path\printer name)".
Check out the Knowledge Base area and it should give you all the information you need for this.
I hope this helps.
