This begs the question ... Why?  What is the problem being solved?



The first 3 ways to do this I can think of are:

1) use of alias as you mentioned

2) use of symbolics (similar but you can not modify)

3) make 3&4 non-bound and update as 1&2 are populated

The codes are a "from" and "to" range.

You have a tablectrl with 4 columns:



fromcode  fromcodedesc  tocode  tocodedesc



Although the codes and descriptions may come from the same file, aren't the 'saved' positions different?
