Currently have a Win95 workstation set up as a dedicated indexor for 1 of 4 accounts on the system. My question is: Can we run dedicated indexors in virtual machines on this station for all 4 accounts?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

It depends on how much horsepower you have in the machine. Typically Win95 machines are older generation boxes. Another problem is that Win95 can't make use of much more than 128 mb of actual memory no matter what you do. I personally don't think you'll be happy with the results. I find that dedicated indexing machines can be older MS-DOS machines, but multiples of them. Pentium 100's with 128 mb memory and a well configured MS-DOS environment running in stand-alone mode usually offer better performance and are less troublesome. If a box fails for whatever reason, the rest continue to run. If the Windows box locks up for whatever reason, then you run the risk of damaged files. I wouldn't think of doing this without a server-based NLM or NT service.
