Running AREV 2.12 on Windows Server 2003. We have a program that loops through a process repeatedly reading a DOS file whose content changes. The program is not recognising when the file has changed, or no longer exists. How do I force a 'fresh' read?

Have you disabled write behind caching on all machines involved including workstations?

Are you using the AREV DIR() function to detect date/time stamp updates?
How large is the file?

I am using DIR(). The program detects the first change to the file but not after that.
The file is only about 2kb.

Doesn't deleting and re-creating the file work ??
