Okay,
Silly IF statement syntax question here. I've looked in the books and can't find anything about it.
Does AREV support the IF ... ELSE IF "step ladder" construction like C++ and VB do?
For example
IF condition then
*do something
ELSE IF condition2 then
*do something else
ELSE IF condition3 then
.
.
.
END
Thanks,

IF...THEN...ELSE format would be:
IF .... THEN
ACTION1
END ELSE
IF .... THEN
ACTION2 (or another nested IF..THEN..ELSE, ad nauseum)
END ELSE
ACTION3
END
END
I don't know of limits on nesting IF..THEN..ELSE statements in RBasic.
Beyond two levels I move to CASE or ON GOSUB routines to speed things up.
Hope this helps.

What you describe is effectively a CASE statement.
