Somewhere I read that using the Windows Client to access a 3.12 Novell server could cause file corruption in your database. Am I hallucinating?
We have AREV 3.1, Novell 3.12 and the 1.5 NLM.
Please respond ASAP.

You will find many references to this on this board if you use the search feature and do a search for "Microsoft client".

Running Arev under Windows 95 the best solution is to use the Novell Client 32 client (now called Intranetware Client I believe)
and the Revelation NLM which is an IPX server based system. Client 32 is necessary for version 1.5 of the NLM and later.
Simply a case of running a small TSR in the shortcut settings for your Arev PIF.
The NLM provides an increase in performance as well as reliability.
