Has anyone run Rev G on a Windows 98 peer to peer network? We changed the network driver to be Generic Dos 3.1 but record locking is not working. I assumed this would work since it worked on an NT network. (Maybe a bad assumption.) In looking at previous posts, it looks like a dedicated server may be necessary, but I hope there is a way around this. My customer will not be too happy to have to buy another PC. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, greg, but a dedicated PC is needed. Keep in mind that a dedicated PC is just a PC not running RevG, so if there is a machine on the network that does not run RevG, that's your server.

Any network that allows you to redirect a local drive as a network drive will work. LanTastic allows this, as do most non-Microsoft peer-peer solutions.
