What is the purpose of the SORT.TABLE record in SYSENV?
We are getting intermittent FS1100 errors trying to read this record. This produces a fatal error in arev -- must close arev. Everything works fine after restarting arev.
Using arev 3.12, Windows Service 2.1, Windows 2003 Server, running in Terminal Services / Remote Desktop session on the server.

This is an encrypted record used to store details of the current AREV configuration.

Any idea when arev would access this record? For example, would it access this record before or after OS operations like OSWRITE or OSBWRITE?

It may be pointing to a temporary path or sort path which is inaccessible/uncreated in your environment? That would crush your session.
With OSBWRITES/OSBREADS, always open the file immediately before each operation.
