==== Date selection slow (AREV Specific) ====

I have an rlist report which uses a date range criteria.
eg WITH DATE BETWEEN "1/1/06" AND "1/1/06"
The user can enter any date range, or a single day as above. The date field is btree indexed.
For some reason, the with+between is very slow. It almost looks as though indexing is not used at all. If I use "WITH DATE = I see the "using indexes" popup and the results are instantaneuous. But if I use "WITH DATE BETWEEN" (or ]= <=), even if the same date is used in the between-and, it seems to take so much longer (and I dont seem to see the "using indexes" popup).
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
Michael

What else is in the select or list statement? What version of Arev are you using?

We too sometimes see this same problem. Instead of this:
WITH DATE BETWEEN "1/1/06" AND "1/1/06"
try this
WITH CASEINSENS DATE BETWEEN "1/1/06" AND "1/1/06"
Apparently the "Advanced" in Arev refers to the ability to have Case Sensitive dates?

Hi Victor,
Arev 2.12, and that is the only thing in the record selection criteria.
