How to Install Universal Driver 4.6 on Server When OpenInsight Is Not Present (Installation)

During the Universal Driver 4.6 server install you are prompted to choose the OpenInsight folder. If the server does not have a OpenInsight folder or is a Advanced Revelation only server a warning will appear;"OpenInsight is not installed in the specified directory (….). Please specify an existing OpenInsight directory for the installation". See image below.

 

Note:This article applies ONLY to Universal Driver 4.6

 

 

Resolution

To work around this step download OENGINE.dll file by clicking the icon below.

If the server is an Advanced Revelation server save this file in the root directory where arev.exe is located. Otherwise, save this file into a temporary directory.

 

Restart the installation and when prompted for the location of OpenInsight specify the directory where you saved the OENGINE.dll.
