Anyone figured a good way to prevent a user from starting ARev more than once on a PC?
At logon take the unique portion of @Station and lock it against say VOC. If locked logoff.

Or just us OS/2 and change the desktop object's property to "open existing/original window"

Warren,
Are you still using OS/2?
What's really fun is to run AREV OS/2 on NT. Works Great!

Thanks, but I had tried this. I'm using the NLM and Netware 3.12 with Win 98. The second copy of ARev 3.12 appears to take away the filing system from the original copy of ARev. So, if I just OFF the second, the original stops working, too.
I need a Window-based solution of some sort.
how about just renaming arev.exe to something else once in arev and then setting it back on logoff. I dont run run 3.x but tested with old
1.16 and it worked fine.I was in single user mode and didnt try anything fancy after the name change.
Are you loading the lhipxtsr with a /p and unloading with a /u? If not this might explain why the second one dies…

Every workstation uses same batch file. /p, arev.exe, /u. Mostly files=200 in config.sys. Mostly Client 3.3.
