We have a client who is using eTrust, the anti-virus software from Computer Associates. With Build 139 there are no problems.
With Build 142 (SP1 build) OI will not run.
Any suggestions?
There have been problems with antivirus programs in the past where the antivirus scanned files with extensions .OV*. It was reported that if you changed it to scan .OVL and avoid scanning .OV the problem went away.
for now I have only been testing the time it takes to open the application,
which started out on new XP PC's running on new 2003 server, running etrust 7.1.501 etc with a gigabit network.
scanning in both directions, 34 secounds to open to login screen.
scanning outgoing only, 19 secounds
omited .ov and .ovl files from scanning, 4.5 secounds
