I can't seem to find the screen shots on your web site that shows how to set up shortcuts for AREV in Win95. I originally printed these out and used them as guidelines for setting up AREV to run in Win95. On the memory page of the shortcut, "Protected" is un-checked. I have a client who says when she leaves AREV running in the background and runs other applications, AREV blows up. If she checks the "Protected" item, it runs fine. So, should we be running in "Protected" mode, or should we not. And if not, why not.
TIA,
kevin
Protected means that the memory used for the program will not be paged to disk when not used. For what it's worth, protected is checked on my shortcut.
Here is the ARev FAQ which contains the screen prints you were asking about.
