I am having trouble on following instructions on how to clear the below message.
Physical error writing 7760139 in table HISTORY
FS152_ The control row "%RECORDS%" is too long to be saved. The current length is 65534 characters. ___
ESC to terminate, break to debugger )ESC/b)
I am not familiar with troubleshooting Arev and any detailed steps would be helpful. I am currently running release version=3.12
Thsnks.
EITHER upgrade to AREV32 where the 64K limit is removed
OR remove the quickdex. At TCL
DICT HISTORY (press Enter)
Shift F3 and answer in the affirmative.
NB this may impact on reports which expect the HISTORY table to be reported on in ascending order.

Thanks for the response.
I have tried the instruction of running at TCL DICT HISTORY enter then it tells me "the "DICT HISTORY" table is not available". I don't know what to do.
How do I update to Rev32?
Thanks
If you enter DICT and press enter does it launch a Dictionary Window?
Converting to AREV32 is a consultancy job sorry (as in it isn't a case of just applying an upgrade) as at the end of it you have a native 32 bit Windows app that behaves EXACTLY like your AREV app.

yes it does launch the dictionary window and when I put the HISTORY as the dictionary, it opens another window called Make dictionary which has a name of the dictionary and asks me to put location. In other words, its asking me to create a table name called HISTORY.
From there I am stack and don't know what to do cause it looks like the table does not exist.
We are in the process to remove this system by end of this year and I thought it would not give us such problems.
Thanks
Sounds as though the file isn't called HISTORY… can you force the error message, F5 from it and try again?

I have been able to find the solution. I realized that the system had not been rolled over since 2004. I then rolled over the fiscal year to 2008 and when I tried the process, I did not get the error again about the history.
Thanks a lot for the help.
