I have a client running a session of AREV on their NT file server. I was always under the impression this was not a good idea. Does anyone have any information? Are there locking implications, etc?
They are running AREV 2.1 on NT NOS with LH Service v1.5.
TIA.
You definitely don't want to do this on an NT server. It doesn't see its local drive as a network drive and therefore no locking is enabled. If you're very, very clever you can sometimes get around this but even then it's very error-prone. There is no way that you can effectively MAP a network drive to your C drive. I had a client that tried this and after GFE's galore, gave it up.

Thanks Don. That is what I had heard.
