I am looking for solutions to solving finacial calculations?
ie FV=Future Value, PV=Present Value, N=Number of periods
INT= Interest ….. anyone been here – done that??
PV=nRT….wasn't that Boyle's law on expanding gas pressures, such that when pressure goes up, volume goes down? I think this applies to work as well, so that the more pressure you're under, the less volume of work you produce.
Anyway, somewhere, someplace, on some really old 5 and a quarter floppies, I have an R/BASIC program that compututed the APR for 30 year, 15 year, 1 year adj and 3 year adj mortgages.
I can look for it, if you wish, but I don't recall seeing the disks for quite some time. They're burried in a box with Windows 2.0 disks.
If memory serves, the formula was pretty easy, just coded it right up. If you have them handy, you can mail them off and we can whip it up.

Have located a set of demo financial subroutines from AREV days - exactly what you asked for.
These havnt been converted to OI.
mmmm… How do you attach a zip file to this email?
How about emailing me direct and I will forward. Might even convert them for you first of all .
