We are getting a message on an Windows NT workstation…
"One of the library files needed to run ..FOLDERNAME..\OEngine.EXE cannot load in the 16-bit Windows subsystem because it is a Win32 DLL."
Any ideas please.
Colin
This is with OI32? Are you trying to run the reporter?

Colin,
Try to run Table Browser from OI32 and you get the exact same message, except with TBLZ instead of OENGINE. Does that tell us anything?

Not using Reporter, and not using Table Browser.
Happens just loading the OENGINE.
Help!!!!
Colin,
I assume TBLZ.EXE is 16-bit and that's why I get the message when I try to run Table Browser. By analogy: Could your OENGINE.EXE be 16-bit? That's what I tried to hint at, without saying so explicitly and thereby revealing my ignorance in these matters.
- Oystein -
Dont think it is 16 bit.
It is version 4.0.1 so I would expect this to be the 32 bit version.
Colin,
Unless you copied over the wrong version e.g while changing between developer and runtime engines. But the 16- and 32-bit OENGINE.EXE files are different sizes. My 3.7.1's OENGINE.EXE is 163KB, while the one my 4.0.3's got is 185KB.
- Oystein -
I have 185 KB as well.
It runs on my XP and 98, and Win2000.
It is failing on a NT box.
Cannot therefore imagine it is a Oengine problem.
Seems to me to be a DLL problem perhaps or some other expected file.
