Is anyone successfully using REV G2B on a Novell network with Windows 95 or 98 on the workstations? I know it is unsupported, but what are the problems and how serious are they on a small (2-3 station) network? Thanks

No worries mate !
Just make sure you have tha right networks driver and that the file attributes are set up to spec.
We have lots of clients running RevG apps on all levells of NT and Novell servers from all varieties of Windows workstations.
Well, officially, RevG's not supported on anything over DOS 3.31 or whatever was the last before 4.
But people are using it and reporting sucesses. On Novell, it should run as usual. Just besure to use the Advanced Netware driver, not the Novell Network. For everything else, use DOS 3.1.
On peer-peers, you must have a server, so all stations are mapped to the same drive. Some versions of LanTastic let you map your local drive as network drive. If you can do that, that's fine. For MS nets (Win95/8) Charles Schmidling (can never spell his last name) has a TSR that traps local locking. I've recommended it to people before, and no one's complained, but I've never used it, so all I can give you is word of mouth.
You might need MEMFIX.EXE for the RevG sessions.

Thanks for the response Aaron. I am aware of memfix although the need for it seems to be only on some older pcs. I don't remember running into the problem recently.
It is good to know that my application can be run on 95 workstations. I have not been actively selling the G2b application, but I have started losing support money from customers who are moving to windows applications. Not being able to run Windows 95/98 just encourages people to jump ship.

Thanks for the encouragement. See my response to Aaron.
