Maybe I am missing something, but….
We use the following command fragment
CFOpt= ""CFOpt=Choose Directory"CFOpt=PATHFILE=Utility("CHOOSEDIR", @window, CFOpt)By going to OI32 I would have thought that this would then display a 32bit (ie modern) file dialog.
Should it?… or is there something I need to do, or do different.
Colin Rule
Colin,
CHOOSEDIR in the 32 bit OI will display long directory names. For the 32 bit file dialog use CHOOSEFILE.
Sean
Yes it does display long filenames, but this was not the issue raised.
The dialog displayed is not the latest 32bit file dialog as used in the Microsoft Common Controls.
For example, do a Start, Run, Browse.
This is a proper 32 bit file dialog.
This is what OI32 should be using, but is not…. at least for me.
Please advise
Colin
This should be a straightforward fix. If not mail us - Utility32 does what you want and is now available in a 32 bit incarnation. We'll probably be adding some registry manipulation features in the near future for good measure.
There's the sales guy in you
This does need to be fixed in OI32. The interface must be consitant across applications or the users yada yada ..
But nice sales pitch
By the way .. never figured out if we are diving at the aug meeting

Regretfully answering questions here isn't a proper job .
I'm still up for a lake dive… assume others are.
If we ask can they put a heater in in advance so I can just use my shorty?
Colin-
This has been fixed for 4.1, with a scheduled release date of August. If you really need it now, we can update the 4.0.2 upgrade.
Thanks-
Mike
Mike
Well done.
It is not super-urgent and I will wait till the update.
Colin
Actually, we had 2 other issues come up, and we'll include them in the 4.0.2 build and update it on the website in a day or so.
The other issues were:
PrintSetup Orientation settings not working (Landscape, portrait, etc)
Popup- an abend when locked columns, minimum number of columns, horizontal locking combination on XP.
