Report header and Page header (ViP Specific)

Hello,

In my report, when i create a report header and the a page header, the page header band appears first. Further i cannot reorder bands, so that the report header band becomes the first one.

I think this is not so logical. The report header should be displayed once per report, and the page header may be displayed several times (once per page) .

Has anyone already seen such a strange order in reports ?

In advance, thank you.

Hello Raphael,

The behavior you are experiencing is by design. The developers of the ViP banded report writer use the page header/footer do display fields that you will want to display at the top or bottom of every page. Report headers/footers are to be display on the first and last page of your report.

The answer to your second question regarding reordering bands is …

IN A REPORT WITH MORE THAN ONE GROUP BANDS, rearranges GROUP BANDS in a report design. To open this dialog box, choose Reorder Bands from the Report Designer Edit menu or select Reorder Bands in the Report Designer band control area.

Lists all report bands, including group header bands and group footer bands, in the report design.

Move Up

Moves the selected group up one level.

Move Down

Moves the selected group down one level.

Hope this helps,
