We used to be able to deisgn forms with 'File' etc buttons at the top.

These have disappeared when creating new forms.

How do we get them back?

This only happens if you choose to create a form linked to OpenInsight tables. Adding in the associstion after the fact doesn't cut it.

Unless of course (as seems more likely thinking about it and re-reading your message) you meant the button bar. Click on the window to get properties then choose "Enabled Button Bar".

What we want is to have:

  File Edit View QBF Help

at the top of the screen for the forms which have a OpeningInsight table attached.

We developed hundreds of screens with it but it has since disappeared when creating new screens. We mustg have turned it off and I dont know how to get them back.

Load up the DEFOITEMPLATE window from the SYSPROG account. If this form still has the menu, check for a DEFOITEMPLATE in your account. This is the default template for all LH bound forms. Any changes made to this form will show up on all newly created forms.
