I tried to connect a remote user to a Novell 3.11 server running an AREV 3.12 application. The 1.12 NLM is installed.
We get a very slow connection to the server and when we start
AREV we get after a while the message :
STDIOERR Variable not assigned a value. Zero used
A Pentium PC on a 16-Mb Token ring segment wants to connect to
a 4 Mb segment where the desired server is running.
Another remote user from a 4 Mb segment has no problems anymore thanks to Sprezzatura (Aaron Kaplan).
What is happening here?
