ODBC truncation? (OpenInsight 32-bit Specific)

Hi all - this question came from a client of ours, any ideas? OI 3.1.4, odbc 1.0

"I am accessing a field that is defined as 20 characters. The driver appears to return information that is one character more than that defined in OpenInsight. However the bigger problem is that the field in the entry form can, and often does, hold much more than 20 characters which I cannot access. The data appears truncated"

Ermm yes the ODBC driver will use the dictionary specification - it IS communicating with a fixed length environment after all.
