Photo (BPM) sizes (OpenInsight 32-bit Specific)

We display client photos in a Data Entry window.

Unfortunately, over the years the photos have varied in size:

 eg 125x148 170x182

Some fit in the space available nicely, others look deformed (head squeezed or stretched sideways).

Is there any way to automatically adjust the photo or the OI field on the screen to match each photo, so the person looks human?

The problem is likely to get worse rather than better as everyone seems to have a digital camera.

Robin,

What version of OI are you using? 8.0.7 introduced a new SCALE property which I think would help you. Otherwise, you can use the Clip style to make sure the image doesn't get distorted to fit the dimensions of the control. If you do that you'll probably want to add scrollbar controls so that user can see parts of the image which exceed the dimensions of the BITMAP control. You can reposition using the IMAGEOFFSET property.

Alternatively, if you need something for an earlier version of OI we have a control that should do what you want. If you want more information then please drop me a line.
