We have installed a new Novell file server running Novell 5.1
Performed the NLM upgrade, and are now getting FS472 errors upon trying to run AREV.
The NLM is running on the server.
LHIPXTSR is running on the workstations
Binding is Ethernet 802.2
REVPARAM is copied into each directory
SAP Filtering has been turned off on the server.
Is this a problem with Novell 5.1 or am I missing something.
Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
Peter
Simple answer Peter,
It doesn't work!!!
I had this problem 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting for the update that works with Novell 5.1. I am running exactly the same spec as you except that I have Win95/98 workstations.
I have been informed that if you are using Arev, then the NLM only works with Novell 5.0 with no service patches/upgrades. Totally useless today as I couldn't buy that version of Novell if I wanted to.

Arev NLM will not work Novell 5.0 with service pack 4 or later or with Netware 5.1 which has the service pack 4 NLM's in them already.
I'm afraid Revelation may take the same length of time to come up with a fix for this as they did with the 1.5a NLM. I reported and fought with "too many users" problem with the 1.5 version for many month.
We are also having many problems getting windows 2000 to work with OI and Arev using the 4.7 client
