Hi all,
we have a legacy payroll system using oinsight 3.7 and Spectrum, which for some reason has decided to stop working.
We can logon, but when we open a company we get the error
"The following file(s) are required by the awards module, but could not be found"
It then gives a series of pop-ups like "AUDAS is not a valid file name" etc.
We've checked permissions on the drive, and restored from a recent backup, no change. Is occuring from multiple PC's.
I know its an old system (and i have zero oinsight skills), but any assistance would be greatly appreciated,
Justin
Has anything changed? Are the files flagged Read Only? Are you running a linear hash service on the server? Do you have REVPARAM files?

Hi Justin,
I work for Revelation in the EMEA region and would be pleased to get involved with helping you to resolve this issue as you are located in our region.
Can you please email me your contact details and I'll get in touch with you by return of email or by telephone.
I can be reached on [email protected].
Thanks,
Martyn.
If you've restored from CD backup, you may have to flag the files as not read-only. ATTRIB -R *.* in each directory with a REVMEDIA.LK would work (from the DOS prompt).
It sounds like the application may have attached volumes on a specific drive letter and path - make sure you haven't (say) backed up from F: and restored to S: drive, and the your path (relative to the root) is identical.
User security privileges would have to be the same for all files - read write and create for the volumes required.
