I recently installed a new NT server and upgraded all of my workstations to Win95. I then started getting GFE'S daily. I installed the Revelation NT Service and NPP. Everything ran fine for about a month. Now I am starting to have GFE'S again. I know that the users that have control of the indexing machine often forget to logout of the application before the backup runs, although I remind them daily. I have the REVPARAM file set to server=true. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Ed,
] I have the REVPARAM file set to server=true
The setting is serveronly, if you have it as
server you may not be using the NT service and
corruption could occur.
What you should do is set the user rights for the
indexing station to disable its logins in the evening
so it is logged out when the backup job takes
place.
