75 percent of Queensland, Australia is a disaster zone.
That's an equivalent area to Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, being under water. There are also floods in Western Australia, so add an area the size of Nevada. They had about 40 inches of rain in Queensland in a day. Worst river levels since 1891.
Brisbane, the third largest city in Australia, is being evacuated, with 30 suburbs now evacuated.
Tony is probably OK, but our thoughts are with him. The worst is yet to come in terms of flooding. Tony's a long-time AREV developer.
Putting things into perspective most of our problems are trivial.
Let's hope for the best for Tony and the people of Queensland.
My prayers and thoughts are with them,
Ray Chan
I talked with Tony recently - he was doing fine. I told he we were all thinking about him.
