We have Arev Buyer Direct version 4.3 on Novell version 4.
Prior to our network going down yesterday, we received and error message but we were able to continue working. When we came back from lunch the network had gone down. We were able to restore the network by turning it off and turning it back on. However, our Buyer program was unusable that afternoon. The following error message kept reappearing:
Fatal Error Reading 43410 in file product
FS127
Group format Error:
OS File: Buyerdat\Rev41009.0
Group#: 1209
Record Length incorrect or frame linkage error.

The error indicates that you have corrupted a file. You should contact the application vendor to arrange a site visit to repair the damage, or optionally restore from backups and continue processing.
Steve
I have exactly the same error message when running a particular
LIST query on a particular file. I have not corrected
the problem yet, but I did do one experiment that indicates to
me that the file is not corrupted. Namely, I copied the whole
database to a local disk, and found I could run the same LIST query
locally with no problem. So the problem seems to have something
to do with running from the Win95 workstation to the database,
which is stored on an NT server.
Sorry. It was actually accessing a backup copy on the local machine,
not the copy I had just moved from the server. Presumeably, the copy on the server is corrupted, while the backup copy is okay.
