We have a client that runs an export on a local copy of our app. They first do a data copy from the network onto the local PC, then run the export.
On 1 particular PC, when running the export, the ov (or lk, cant remember which) file goes back to 0kb, and the routine breaks saying it cant read XXX record in the table.
It works on other machines.
I copied the files from the network again, tried to list the table and got a fatal error.. and it became 0KB again
Any ideas what could be causing this?
File has been verified and comes up ok.
Perhaps it's a license enforcement issue?

Which network driver? (check WHO Window)
Are you running a network product (Netware NLM/Windows LH Service)?
Is record locking and file locking working across your network? (get two users from TCL to EDIT VOC MYJUNK - does the second user get an error?)
What is the AREV filename that is getting deleted? Is it the same each time?
What sort of virus protection are you using on that machine? Is it set to scan LK and OV? If so, exclude these suffixes.
Are your users keen on using Windows Explorer to "do stuff"? Does anyone have the file in their Recycle Bin?
Is there a virus scanner on the problem PC? Set it to exclude REV*.* files.
Isn't there an issue where Arev will create a file with 0 bytes if the file is already open/locked by the OS when Arev tries to get to it? We were just talking about this this morning with regard to backups.
I would check to be sure that the file is closed by the OS before Arev tries to access it.
