I am working on an old version 2.x of AREV. I have a peer-to-peer network setup in Windows95 (2 users). I have installed the Revelation Performance Pack, but the system asks for a new LAN Pack when running AREV Bump. As I said, it is an old system that I have inherited here and the original LAN pack is nowhere to be found. I need record locking and the ability to print from the workstation. Any help????
The NPP assumes that you have already used a Lan Pack to bump to multiple users - it simply makes it possible to use 95 with a bumped AREV.
So if your software was bumped already you just change network drivers, not bump. If it wasn't bumped you have to buy a lan pack.

OK, Thanks, but how do I get record locking and the ability to print from the second station? It is a peer to peer network. The second workstation prints OK out of Windows 95, but not out of Revelation.
Also, there is no record locking.
Any help?
Now that you've installed the NPP, locking should work automatically. To see that you have enough users, from TCL type WHO. Near the bottom of the screen it should tell you the maximim number of users. This should be 2 or greater, so that multiple stations can log on.
As for printing, we'll need to know the particulars. It could be as simple as Win95 doesn't know that it has to print from DOS programs. All that needs is reconfiguring the printer drivers. You'll also need to map the printer, if it's a network printer. The print driver can do this for you, once you tell it you're printing from DOS programs.
