You need to make sure of the size of your DOS process window. Go to a Command prompt and type MEM /C/P (to pause the display). You need at least 570K conventional memory available and EMS enabled.

I also run the program in it's own memory space. Make sure that the Exclusive box is NOT checked and the Suspend box is NOT checked (otherwise background processing won't happen if AREV is swapped out).

I also uncheck the Screen Saver and PrtScr items. You may have to fiddle the Idle Sensitivity slider until things run right.

I note that you don't have any EMS memory, just XMS which can't be used by AREV. Therefore the /XM4096 parameter in the command line has no effect. You should also check your CONFIG.NT to make sure it has sufficient file handles (I use 200). Sometimes running AREV in compatibility mode (Win98) helps, although not having EMS can cause an out of memory condition if you're attaching large subdirectory structures.

Worked for me. In fact I find that after Installing my Novel client with the 'IPX only' method in custom install, It works just as well as 95/98.
