Novell Server/Windows 3.11 workstation. One workstation
has two copies of AREV loaded at the same time.
The problem is when PDISK is issued from these two
copies, the error "Access to the output file has been denied …"
occurs on the later.
I had tried Mr. Aaron Kaplan's suggestion of using SHARE.EXE or VSHARE.386,
the same problem occurs. Can anybody help?
Thks in advanced.
Just as a clarification, my suggestion is usually not to use SHARE.EXE. but use VSHARE.386 instead.
As for the PDISK problem, would both sessions be trying to write to the same file?

I had tried VSHARE.386 without SHARE.EXE loaded.
As for PDISK, both sessions write to the same file,
one after the other.
Let me clarify my problem, for some reasons I need
all of my reports to print to LPT3 (I had only one
printer driver setup in AREV and is set to print to
LPT3), I noticed that the first session prints to LPT3
without any problem, but when I do the same on the
second session, the report is mysteriously redirected
to LPT1. I then tried "PDISK LPT3" and the message
"Access …" problem occured.
Appreciate you help Aaron Kaplan and anybody who could help me.
This could be related to how printers are shared across sessions. It could also be related to capture settings and how printers are defined through windows.
Have you considered changing the LPT port at all?
