I was wondering if there were any known bugs with the Arev NLM for Netware 5. We are making a decision on either NT or Netware 5 from Netware 3.11.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your inquiry. With the release of Netware 5, we have released a new version of the Revelation NLM, 5.0. This version of the NLM is for use specifically with version 5.0 of Netware. There were some changes that needed to be made for the NLM to work in conjunction with the new version of Netware, so we have developed and certified this new version of the NLM with Netware and it is currently available.

If you continue to use Netware versions 3.x or 4.x, you must continue to use version 1.5 of the Revelation NLM. However, if you do migrate to Netware 5, you must upgrade your Revelation NLM to version 5.0.

If you have a properly registered copy of the Revelation NLM, the upgrade to version 5.0 is $249. If you would like more information or to place an order, please feel free to contact our Customer Service Department at 800-262-4747 or 978-946-7100.

Thanks.

Mark

Has the NLM been certified with SFT III ie server mirroring on Netware 5. We have heard some nightmares of other (non Revelation) NLMs not working with server mirroring

You aren't serious are you? Revelation would probably choke to death on NT. How many stations are you going to be running. If your site is a large one then you should go Novell…it works.
