I am trying to print on lpt1 through lpt9 for ease of network printers. I am using the net use lpt2:arrowsrv/laser/yes lpt3:arrowsrv/oki/yes etc. They initially seem to map but when you resend to the printer it gives a system error 67?
I also am trying to print locally and that is also a horor. I ended up using the net use lpt1:\delete. Now the lpt1 is gone and it won't print locally? Any ideas for this annoying combination of programs that hate eachother? Thank you.
Re printing locally… I've had the best success by sharing the local printer, and then letting Arev print to it as it would any other network printer via "net use" instead of trying to manage two different printing environments.

I print to disk file, then shell to DOS, copy the file to the network address. Use Call setptr( device:char(0),1) where device is a 16-bit filename and path, or LPT1, LPT2, …
AFTER DELETING THE NETWORK PRINTER YOU NEED TO REDIRECT THE LOCAL PRINTER; NET USE LPT1 \\PAT\PATS.PRINTER
